    Daniel Chan is the Director of Professional Services in Ascent Solutions Pte Ltd (Ascent), an Industrial IoT Track-and-Trace Solutions provider. He leads the Professional Services department in Ascent, which encompasses Project Management Team, Field Services Engineering, Data Analytics, and the Customer Support. The Professional Services department works closely with the Strategic Solutions Department for implementation and support for its clients.
    He is concurrently the CISO and Data Protection Officer in Ascent. In his tenure, he has initiated and lead the successful implementation of the company’s certification in the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM), ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 27017:2015, ISO/IEC 27018:2019, and the Cyber Trust Mark (Advocate).
    He has more than a decade’s experience in the Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) as a security practitioner and counter-intelligence officer.
    He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by PMI as well as a certified Associate Protection Professional (APP) by ASIS International.

    Tony is the Chairman of Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) in Asia Pacific – an international forum that focuses on reducing losses in supply chains through globally recognised standards, certification audits and real-time supply chain information incident system. Tony also sits on the Emeritus Council of Advisors for Supply Chain Asia.

    Previously, he was the Director of Logistics Purchasing and Centre of Excellence for Lear Corporation Asia Pacific, the Leading Tier 1 global automotive manufacturer ranked #148 on the Fortune 500, for its Seating (JIT) & E-Systems Divisions across Asia Pacific and global distribution, sequencing & warehousing.

    Tony has a strong background in Supply Chain Management, Security, Law Enforcement, General Management, Electronic Security, Aviation Security, Telematics and Global Account Management. He has extensive experience in Aviation Security and was a member of the Conference of Asia Pacific Express Carriers (CAPEC) Security Committee and has successfully undergone audits for the US C-TPAT Programme (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) and Aviation Security Regulated Agent Programme throughout the globe.

    Tony won two Risk & Security awards for his former company, the first being in 2009 for the Supply Chain Security Award - Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards and the second in 2010 for the Risk Management Award. He is currently the Vice Chairman of Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA Asia) and sits on the Board of Advisors for Supply Chain Asia. Tony is also a member of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International), Asia Professional Security Association (APSA) and the International Aviation Security Association (IASA).

    Tony holds a Post Graduate Award in Management & Business Studies from the University of Warwick in United Kingdom and qualifications in Security Management, Aviation Security, Electronic Security and Electrical Installation.
